This stable, firm dimension, high density PTFE continuous packing of filament fibers is similar to Style 5889, but is most useful in slow shaft speed applications. PTFE dispersion which provides a low friction finish and prevents leakage through braiding. Style 5888 is resistant to all chemicals but liquid uranium salt. Completely free of asbestos, with very little water absorption, this packaging is often used in check and needle valve stems, reciprocating rods, sheep, and pistons, and valve safety injection systems.
